• After agonising over our introductory paragraph thing, we failed to come up with anything more witty and impresssive than 'Welcome to Compact Pussycat's website'. There's a lot of history to the band, learn all about where we came from in our archive section. There are lots of pretty pictures in the gallery. Some songs and lyrics to download in the music bit. Right we are well into 2008 so we thought was about time we updated the site and let you know what has been happening in Compact Pussycat World. As the last few months of 2007 were so hectic, we took a well earned rest and played only a few gigs at the beginning of 2008. We have, however, been writing again - fine tuning a couple that were started in 2007 (Alive and Filthy) and have also written Connected and Modification and are part way through another new one. You may notice we like one word titles! We are now gigging again and have a few dates coming up in May and June (see below), so come along and let us know what you think of the new material.

• Gangsta's Corner Album Out 24 April 2008

Last November a load of bands, including us, descended on Plug Studios in Norwich for a day to each record 'live' a track or two for a tribute CD for Dug and Pete Dugdale. It was felt this would be a fitting acknowledgement of two people who will be missed personally by alot of people in the punk scene. • A big thanks to all of you who have come along to support us at gigs, especially those in Cambridge, Ipswich, London and Southend as well as Norwich. As you can see we are starting to book in to the summer and would dearly love some gigs in further flung regions (certain London venues, however, with your ridiculous pay to play rules can sod off!), anyone wishing to put us on please send an email and one of us will get back to you asap.

• My Scene EP was officially launched in September and is now on sale for our usual reasonable price of £3!! The track listing is Ticking Bomb, My Scene, Done It Again and Inside Out. Fade out versions are in our music section so you can have a little taster of all the songs. Our MySpace site has full versions of Ticking Bomb and Inside Out to listen to as well. If you would like to buy a copy of this EP and cannot get to a gig, please send us an email and we will send it to you in the post.
